Up-lighting of the boulevard de la Seille in Metz, North East of France aka "the chromatic wave from L'Atelier Lumière" from Pierre Nègre.
The urban landscape improvement of the boulevard was achieved partly with 19 identical masts positionned in 2 different zones of the boulevard. All were up-lit by LEC. Each mast is decorated with 5 crowns made for this special project.
Each crown is in 4-colours and is controlled separetly with a DMX pilot. The lighting designer clearly defined a colour scenario for each of the rings up-lighting at once:
- the center point of the crown
- inside and outside of the crown
- the mast by reflection
Amélie Goumillou from L’Atelier Lumière says that « with an evolutive program, coloured scenarios are performed on the crowns as dusk falls. Ode to mobility, they come alive with coloured waves. As it evolves in a gentle colour range, and then in stronger sequences, the colour waving offers a unique and sensitive experience.»
