Aragon gardens in Pepys Parks, Lewisham, London: Open Spaces and Public Realm

The design of Aragon Gardens aimed to open up the existing space and create a raised area from which one could view the Thames river.
The design of the sculpture should symbolically relate to the interesting nautical history of the site.
The initial concept design of the sculpture draws on the form of the Golden Hind, one of England’s most famous ships.

Up and down lights mounted on the 5-meters high posts to light the ground below the sculpture, and to illuminate the underside of the sails.
