2551 marker-lights 1843-Palais Royal are installed on the side walls at 10-meter of intervals along the 11,630-meter long Mont-Blanc tunnel.

The marker-lights are in amber, except for two lights every 150 metres which are in blue. The blue markers act as a visual reference to the user in order to help drivers respect the safe distance in-between 2 vehicles.
